FAQs

  • At the moment, I offer telehealth only. With the convenience of meeting you where you’re at, telehealth can be just as effective as in-person work. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform called Simple Practice for video sessions, and you will receive a link to join prior to your session start time.

  • I work with individuals aged 18 and older who are navigating a wide range of concerns, including chronic illness, neurodiversity, and LGBTQIA+ identities. My practice also focuses on supporting clients through identity development, life transitions, anxiety and depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, and more.

    • To start therapy, reach out to me via email, phone, or the contact form on my website. We'll schedule a free 15-minute consultation to determine if we’re a good fit.

    • If we decide to move forward, I’ll tentatively schedule your first session and send you a link to your client portal. From there, you will complete and review the necessary forms and documents. Once those are completed, I’ll confirm your appointment and send you a link for our first session.

    • If you're using insurance, we will verify your benefits and confirm the session cost before we meet.

  • I accept Premera, Regence, BCBS, Aetna, and First Choice. I am also able to provide superbills which you can submit to other insurance plans for reimbursement. Additionally, my private pay rate is $160 per 50-55 minute session.

  • Of course! There are a few options to consider:

    • Private Pay: My private pay rate is $185 for the initial session and $160 for subsequent 50-55 minute sessions.

      • Superbills: I can provide superbills if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits. You will pay the private pay rate upfront, and I’ll provide the documentation for you to submit for reimbursement.

      • Sliding Scale: I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients experiencing financial difficulties. Please inquire about availability.

    • When we connect, we can discuss which option works best for you.

    • If your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement for our sessions. Coverage rates typically range from 40-80%.

    • Here’s how it works:

      • Verify your out-of-network benefits by contacting your insurance company.

      • Once sessions begin, pay the full session fee upfront.

      • At the end of each month, I will provide paperwork called a "super bill” that you can submit directly to your insurance.

      • Your insurance company will reimburse you at the agreed-upon rate

    • The No Surprises Act is a federal law that protects clients from unexpected medical bills. If you are uninsured or plan to pay privately without submitting a claim to insurance, you are entitled to a good faith estimate of the costs for your sessions.

    • I can provide this estimate upon request or when scheduling your first appointment if you intend to pay privately.

  • Life happens! If you need to cancel, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. If something comes up last minute, I will do my best to offer an alternative appointment time during the same week.
